This book contains numerous Scriptures, tables, and explanations to help the reader have a better understanding of "our great God and Savior Jesus Christ" (Titus 2:13; NKJV). Here is a brief summary of the book:
(1) There is only one God (Deut. 6:4), who is a Spirit (John 4:24). God's name in the Old Testament is Jehovah (Isaiah 42:8). God's name in the New Testament is Jesus (Phil. 2:9-11; Eph 1:21), which means :Jehovah is salvation" or "Jehovah is the Savior." Jesus of the New Testament is Jehovah of the Old Testament.
(2) Three different manifestations, roles, or offices of God are: the Father in creation, the Son of redemption, and the Holy Ghost in regeneration or as He works among mankind. Jesus is the name of the Son (Matthew 1:21-23), the Father (Isaiah 9:6; John 5:43; Hebrews1:4), and the Holy Ghost (John 14:26).
(3) Jesus Christ, the "Son of God," was fully God and fully man (Matthew 1:18-25; Like 1:31-35). The Spirit of God that dwelt in the "Son of God' has always existed (Micah 5:2; Hebrews 9:12). However, the humanity of Jesus Christ did not exist until the Holy Ghost overshadowed the virgin Mary and Jesus Christ was miraculously conceived (Galatians 4:4). The name Jesus, the title Christ, and the term Son can refer to the humanity or deity of Jesus Christ. However the term Son never refers to "just deity" (without humanity), but the terms Father and Holy Ghost always only refer to deity. The humanity of Jesus Christ suffered, was pierced, shed his blood for our sins, died, and rose from the dead. Jesus Christ o r Jehovah "manifest in the flesh" (1 Timothy 3:16), is our Savior, our Shepherd. our Redeemer, our Mediator, and our King. Jesus Christ heals us, gives us peace, gives us victory, and is coming back in his glorified body to the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 14:3-5, 9; Acts 1:9-12). "Every one of us shall give account of himself to God" (Romans 14:12), when we stand before Jesus Christ, who is our Judge.
(4) When describing God's various attributes, different names or titles are used. For example God (or Jehovah, the Father, the Spirit, Jesus): can forgive sins, is to be worshipped, is the Almighty, draws us to Him, raises the dead, gives people the gift of the Holy Ghost, comforts us, sanctifies us, answers prayer, is the "Most High," and is our Creator. When we get to heaven, we will only see one God (not two or three). we will only see Jesus Christ, in His glorified human body, seated on the throne of God (Revelation 1:8; 4:2; 8-11; 22:3-4).
